The footings are poured!!

They have poured the concrete part of the footings and now they have to lay the bricks which are sitting in the backyard. We have been amazed at how fast this part as gone. More to come!

More Demolition

So, we had a Bobcat in our backyard tearing out the patio slab of concrete. Now we have a major mud pit because it is all gone. I think the next step is digging the footings.

No more steps! We (mainly Oakley) now have to jump!

Demolition begins...

Many of you know that we are adding on to our house. It has been a long waiting process that is here. We are finally at the stage where we could tear down our deck. Jeff spent one of his days off demolishing the deck to make room for the new expansion (laundry room/ breakfast area). The next stage is to clear out the concrete and build the footings. It's going to be a mess!!

Oh Christmas Tree!!

This year we decided to head up to the mountains and hunt down our tree. We had no idea how complicated it was to pick out the "perfect" tree. "This one's too short," "This one has a hole," This one isn't thick enough." We finally found it and claimed it well with the bright pink ribbon. Merry Christmas!!

The decorated tree back at home!

The Looj...

So we have a new toy. This is no ordinary fun toy but one that cleans your gutters made by IRobot. It is quite amazing and yes, it works. Check out www.whitwo.com for a video of how the Whitworths now clean their gutters.

Thanksgiving

We have much to be thankful for this year. Great family, friends, jobs, a home, health, and a Savior that loves us unconditionally. This Thanksgiving we overstuffed ourselves, as usual. We spent lunch with the Whitworth family eating a delicious meal and then we had dinner with the Mitchell family. Here is a glimpse, and I mean glimpse, of the food we devoured. The one picture of the food is only one section. Try adding three more tables of food!! Turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, macaroni, corn, green beans, bread, two kinds of jello, potato salad, and then all the deserts...CRAZY!

Small Group Kids

We are so thankful for our small group and the little additions that have been added. Charlie, in the middle, is definately enjoying all the ladies around him. There is a great video on Justin and Millie's blogsite of us trying to take these pictures. :)

Rockbridge

We spent a weekend at Rockbridge, a YL camp, with some great friends. Jeff was sound tech for the program and I relaxed.

Lexington Barbecue Festival

Man, this was some good barbecue! Plus, we got to see flying pig balloons and an array of strange people!

This was a huge sand castle that the guy was still working on when we went by.

One thing we have loved about our house is this huge tree in the front yard. Every year it seems to be the first tree to start to drastically turn on our street. It is so gorgeous right now and really makes it start to feel like fall despite the hot weather. The only thing that is going to stink is cleaning up these leaves every weekend!!

It's count down to when our friends Warren and Melanie have their baby. Our small group put in our bets so we will see who gets the closest.

Charlie helped make a tower out of all the packs of diapers they recieved.

The Mohawk

So... Jeff's desire for a mohawk finally came true. Well, at least for one day. Becca wouldnt let him go to the outlets shopping with a mohawk, so it was very short lived. At least he got to walk on the beach, have people stare at him, and get a little red scalp!

Good Morning Mohawk!
